Tranquil Tuesday

Hello My Fellow Crochet Queens,

I hope those of you in the Uk had a wonderful Mother’s Day or indeed spoilt those who were worthy!

Our house was generally quiet as it could be with added Choccy Fudge Cake and a little run around the reservoir but not much else as Alex has not been in much of a good mood lately.

After several meetings with the local MP’s Jonathan Evans and Julie Morgan, things are still very muchย in the balance regarding more help with Alex. All I know is that his frustrations are escalating rapidly and are manifesting themselves in more challenging behaviour which each day we find harder to deal with.. but we shall do our best and over come these small set backs which we call life!

Getting back to my hooky adventure though, the GroovyGhan has now got groovier with a new wavy border in lime green and tangerine and it looks like a dream.Image

And… after going all gaga over our little Lidl’s shop I thought it time to make something with the sock yarn … so thanks to Ravelry free patterns I thought I’d try something a little lacy and feminine like a triangular shawl… so far so good but there are lots of chains and loops and repeats and confusion.. on we go though how far nobody knows…. here it is so far.

So here’s wishing you a tranquil Tuesday till I get some more time to myself.. have a great week xxxxxxImage

  1. Your blanket is FABULOUS!!!! …and YES…. the wavy edging is perfect, Helen! You are a yarn artist to the nth degree.

Sounds like life is limping on for you three…. such challenges you face daily, and seem to overcome with your fabulously up-beat spirit. Saying lots of little prayers during my day for you.

LOVE the new shawl! Know how difficult it is to brave a new, intricate pattern like this, but it does look like you are well on your way! xoxoxo

  2. Hi helen, sorry to hear that Alex is having a few difficulties at the moment, must be very frustrating for him. Hopefully he’ll come through it, with a lovely Mum like you he has to. And praying for you that you get the extra help you need xx

Now then Helen…lol…if I say I’m a poor little sad, cold girl….can I have your Groovyghan pleassseeeeeeee……..?????? ๐Ÿ˜‰ It’s sooooooo gorgeous, you should be very proud of yourself!!
And, the shawl looks beautifull ๐Ÿ™‚
Sending you a big kiss from the sunny south of France xxx

  3. Your blanket is simply “Grooovy maan” ๐Ÿ˜‰ What a grand job you did on it Helen – but of course you did, you were born to crochet cariad ๐Ÿ˜‰
That shawl is just gorgeous with it’s scallop shell pattern! but oh wow it looks difficult ๐Ÿ˜ฎ I bet it needs lots of concentration too. That’s a lovely shade of yarn you have, more on the blue side, whereas mine is on the orangey side. I prefer yours, hehe ๐Ÿ˜‰
I send heartfelt blessings to you all at this difficult time, and pray it will soon pass with positive news from the powers that be
    Besos y abrazos

I’m sorry to hear about Alex… do you have a sense of what is causing this? could it just be the increased energy of Spring also? I can imagine that some things can be frustrating for him.
